Take the Breath Out of Me revolves around the acute collapse and final conquest of Miki Johnson, a Japanese ‘refuge’ and self-professed “Street-Prize” who gets caught up in a seemingly unknown battle between substance abuse, the assumed death of her first real love, and the disease controlling organization behind all of it.
